About Coram Deo Student Ministry, Mission, and Goals.
It is not the role of the church to replace or step in for parents, but to equip and walk alongside them as they raise their youth up in the Lord. Although the focus is on this particular age group, student ministry is not a separate ministry of Coram Deo. It is simply an additional place where teenagers receive instruction on the three core values of Coram Deo: Gospel, Community, and Mission.
Gospel
We desire our youth to fully embrace God's call on their lives to be disciple makers. Our studies aim to exalt Christ in a way that helps teens grow a deep reverence and understanding of who God is and why we're here.
Community
We want to model gospel-encouraged fun and laughter. We typically have one fellowship event per month aimed at spending time together outside a church context.
Mission
Throughout the year we plan several service opportunities, retreats, and mission trips. We would come alongside you in raising your student(s) in the Lord.
Weekly Bible Study.
We meet on Sunday evenings from 6 to 7:30pm, open to all teenagers. We play a few games, worship, share testimonies, and study the Word together. In addition, students are provided with weekly sermon discussion guides to help them apply Sunday's message.
Activities & Fellowship.
We offer activities designed for teens to interact with each other socially, but our main goal is to help them deepen their understanding of the Bible and grow in their love for Jesus. We aim to teach our teens that the gospel changes everything, including their time together.
